Information Survey


The purpose of this survey is to give the Union direction when negotiating the upcoming contract with the City of Minneapolis. Please fill out this quick survey to help guide us in achieving a contract that reflects the interests of the membership.

This survey is divided into the following sections:

SECTION A -- Economic issues

SECTION B -- Benefits

  1. Would you value a long tem disibility plan that pays 60% of your pre-disibility income after 90 day of disibility for life?

  2. In that health care increases are driven by how much service our group consumes do you support office Co-pays to keep the number of unnecessary visits to a minimum?

  3. In that health care increases are also being driven by the high cost of designer drugs do you support a separate (higher) Co-pay for designer drugs that also have a generic equivalent?

  4. We are currently looking at a tax exempt plan that would provide pre taxed dollars going in and no tax dollars coming out when used to pay health care cost upon retirement. Would you support putting your vacation balance upon retirement into this type of investment fund?

  7. We continue to explore with the Laborers Health & Welfare Trustees the possibility of joining their fund. Their plan currently offers pre-funded retiree health care after the equivalent of fifteen years of full time work hours and it is a 90:10 plan where you pay about 10% on each office visit. Would you be interested in leaving the City Plans and joining the Laborers plan?
